Dallas is best known as one of the launch presenters of Bang Goes the Theory on BBC1 and specialises in programmes covering science, engineering and human geography.

Among a long list of credits Dallas has previously presented the international series, Science of Stupid (Nat Geo), the BAFTA nominated Stargazing Live (BBC2) and Supersized Earth (BBC 1), The Gadget Show (C5),City In The Sky (BBC2), Britain Beneath Your Feet (BBC1) and Tutankhamun: The Truth Uncovered (BBC1). He is currently filming a three part engineering series sponsored by Shell.

Beyond television Dallas is an author, speaker, and an ambassador for UK science education. with involvement in The Big Bang Fair and TeenTech. He works internationally with the British Council and has won many awards for his services to the public understanding of science. These include an honorary MA from the University of Northampton, a fellowship from the British Science Association, and an Arthur C. Clarke media award for services to the promotion of space science. In 2016 Dallas was a guest director of the Cheltenham Science Festival.

His critically acclaimed debut book Ad Astra: An Illustrated Guide to Leaving the Planet looks at the history science and culture around human spaceflight. He has also contributed to the book Aliens edited by Jim Al Khalili, and has written for The Sky At Night magazine, Focus (the BBC’s Science magazine) and The Observer.

Dallas is also an actor and has featured on programmes including The Crown, The Dumping Ground, MI High, Holby City, Casualty and many more.

Dallas currently hosts the podcast 'Patented: History of Inventions' which investigates the curious history of invention and innovation.
