Sian Harries is a comedy writer and performer who co-wrote Greg Davies's Man Down for Channel 4 and Tourist Trap for BBC Wales, starring Sally Phillips. She co-writes and stars in her own S4C sketch show, O'r Diwedd, and also co-wrote and performed in the SONY Award winning sketch show Here Be Dragons. Until very recently, she co-hosted The Rhod Gilbert Show on BBC Radio Wales and has written for programmes such as BBC2's Never Mind the Buzzcocks and BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz. Sian also creates radio documentaries such as The Welsh Women of Patagonia (2017). Last year Sian wrote, produced and performed in the BAFTA Cymru nominated comedy short, Neckface. Sian is thrilled to be one of 18 carefully selected writers on the BAFTA 'Elevate' scheme. The group will take part in a bespoke 12-month programme supporting and nurturing new, diverse young talent.

Sian hosted the hugely popular podcast ‘The Froth’ with her husband Rhod Gilbert. You can listen to the episodes here.
