Ashley “DJ Ace” Asomani is one of the UK’s most respected voices in broadcasting, with over two decades on air championing R&B music and culture. During a 21-year career at BBC 1Xtra he received both a Sony Gold Award and a Broadcasters’ Press Guild Award, establishing himself as a trusted voice in UK radio.

In 2024 he joined Kiss FM, launching the station’s flagship R&B show and later becoming host of the Kisstory R&B Breakfast Show.

Alongside his radio work, Ace is an experienced voice-over artist, with credits including BBC, BET UK, London Live and Bauer Media.

He is also the founder of Everything R&B, a platform dedicated to championing the genre through live showcases, festivals and international events including SXSW.

In recognition of his cultural impact and advocacy work around organ donation, he was awarded the Freedom of the City of London.
